PWR Divisions: From Bronze to World Class
The eight PnL World Rating (PWR) divisions from Bronze to World Class: the PWR each one starts at, how you get placed and how long the climb takes.
Divisions are milestones on the PnL World Rating (PWR) scale. They show at a glance how far a trader has come — on the trader card, in the rankings and next to the handle.

How you get placed
- You are placed in a division after your first five rated tournaments.
- Your division follows your PWR: when your rating crosses a threshold, you move up.
- PWR points never expire, so a division, once reached, is not lost through inactivity. A trader with no rated tournament for 180 days is marked Inactive on the rankings until the next rated finish.
How you climb
PWR adds up every rated finish: format weight × place share × field strength. Three things move you up the divisions fastest:
- Long formats. A PnL Monthly win is worth 1,000 points to the winner, a PnL Quarterly 3,000 and the PnL World Championship 10,000 — compared with 25 for an Hourly.
- High places. Second place earns 65% of the winner's points, third 45%, and the curve falls quickly from there.
- Strong fields. Every result is multiplied by field strength; the deepest fields are worth the most.
How long does the climb take?
The scale is built so that the top takes a sustained record in the longest formats, not a good week. The lower divisions come quickly with regular top finishes; Master and above need strong places in PnL Monthly, PnL Quarterly and World Championship fields; World Class is meant to be rare.
Divisions vs World Rankings
Divisions are bands; the World Rankings are an exact order. Two traders can both be Diamond while one is World No. 120 and the other World No. 340. World No. 1 is simply the trader at the top of the rankings.
FAQ
Can I drop a division? Your PWR only grows, so your division does not go down.
Do free tournaments count? Rated tournaments count whether or not they have an entry fee. The Free Arena is practice and does not count.
Can I buy a higher division? No. Money and paid promotion never affect PWR.
PnL World tournaments are simulated: trades are executed against live market data, but no real-money positions are opened on any exchange. Nothing here is financial advice.
