PWR Points Table: Points for Every Place and Format
The full PnL World Rating (PWR) points table: points for every finishing place in every tournament format, how field strength scales them, and worked examples.
The PnL World Rating (PWR) is the world rating of traders on PnL World. Every rated tournament finish adds points to it — and the rules are public, so anyone can check exactly how many points a result is worth. This page is the full table.
The formula
PWR points = format weight × place share × field strength
- Format weight — how big the event is, from 25 for an Hourly to 10,000 for the PnL World Championship.
- Place share — what share of the weight your finishing place earns: 100% for 1st, down to 3% for 21st and below. Every place earns points.
- Field strength — a multiplier for the quality and size of the field, up to 1.0 at launch. See field strength.
Points are added to your career total and never expire.

| Place | Share | Hourly | 4-Hour | Daily | Weekly | PnL Monthly | PnL Quarterly | PnL World Championship |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1st | 100% | 25 | 40 | 75 | 250 | 1,000 | 3,000 | 10,000 |
| 2nd | 65% | 16.25 | 26 | 48.75 | 162.5 | 650 | 1,950 | 6,500 |
| 3rd | 45% | 11.25 | 18 | 33.75 | 112.5 | 450 | 1,350 | 4,500 |
| 4th | 35% | 8.75 | 14 | 26.25 | 87.5 | 350 | 1,050 | 3,500 |
| 5th | 28% | 7 | 11.2 | 21 | 70 | 280 | 840 | 2,800 |
| 6th | 22% | 5.5 | 8.8 | 16.5 | 55 | 220 | 660 | 2,200 |
| 7th | 18% | 4.5 | 7.2 | 13.5 | 45 | 180 | 540 | 1,800 |
| 8th | 15% | 3.75 | 6 | 11.25 | 37.5 | 150 | 450 | 1,500 |
| 9th | 13% | 3.25 | 5.2 | 9.75 | 32.5 | 130 | 390 | 1,300 |
| 10th | 11% | 2.75 | 4.4 | 8.25 | 27.5 | 110 | 330 | 1,100 |
| 11th–15th | 8% | 2 | 3.2 | 6 | 20 | 80 | 240 | 800 |
| 16th–20th | 5% | 1.25 | 2 | 3.75 | 12.5 | 50 | 150 | 500 |
| 21st and below | 3% | 0.75 | 1.2 | 2.25 | 7.5 | 30 | 90 | 300 |
These are the maximum values, at field strength 1.0. In a smaller or less-rated field, multiply by the field strength — for example, 1st in a Daily at field strength 0.6 earns 75 × 1.0 × 0.6 = 45 points. The PnL Community Cup uses the Weekly weight (250).
What the table tells you
1. Long formats dominate. One PnL Monthly win (1,000) is worth 40 Hourly wins. A 10th place in a PnL Quarterly (330) beats a Weekly win (250). The ladder is built so that the biggest events carry the most weight — as Grand Slams do in tennis.
2. Consistency adds up. Points never expire, and every place earns something. A trader who finishes in the top five of Daily tournaments week after week builds a solid total.
3. Strong fields pay more. The same place is worth more against a larger, verified, higher-rated field. Beating good traders counts.
4. There is no shortcut through tiny fields. A two-trader tournament has a low field strength, so its points are small.
From points to divisions
Once a trader has five rated tournaments, their PWR total places them in a division:
| Division | PWR from |
|---|---|
| Bronze | 0 |
| Silver | 150 |
| Gold | 500 |
| Platinum | 1,500 |
| Diamond | 4,000 |
| Master | 10,000 |
| Grandmaster | 25,000 |
| World Class | 60,000 |
Example paths at field strength 1.0:
- Silver (150): two Daily wins (150).
- Gold (500): two Weekly wins (500), or a 3rd place in a PnL Monthly plus a Daily win (525).
- Platinum (1,500): a PnL Monthly win (1,000) plus two Weekly wins (500).
- World Class (60,000): years of results at the top of the biggest events — six World Championship wins would get there, and nobody has one yet.

Who appears in the World Rankings
Points are earned by every finisher in a rated tournament. To appear in the PnL World Rankings, a trader verifies a phone number — one verified account per person. A trader with no rated finish for 180 days is marked Inactive until the next one; their points stay.
FAQ
Does a last place earn PWR points? Yes. Every finishing place in a rated tournament earns at least 3% of the format weight, multiplied by field strength.
Do PWR points expire? No. PWR is a career total.
Do free tournaments count? Rated free events do — the PnL Community Cup counts with the Weekly weight. Practice arenas are not rated.
Why did I get fewer points than the table shows? Because the field strength was below 1.0 — usually a small field, or opponents who are not yet verified or rated.
Where is the official definition? In the official rules and PWR explained.
PnL World tournaments are simulated: trades are executed against live market data, but no real-money positions are opened on any exchange. Nothing here is financial advice.
