Tournaments

What is PnL World? A platform for trading tournaments on live market data, with one permanent world ranking of traders — the PnL World Rating (PWR).

Is real money at risk? No. Trades are executed against live market data, but positions are simulated — nothing is opened on an exchange. During open testing, entry fees and prizes use test credits.

Which markets can I trade? Rated tournaments: crypto — BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP and BNB. The Free Arenas also have test tables for forex (EUR/USD, gold) and US stocks (Apple, Nvidia, Tesla, SPY). Each tournament page shows its markets.

Can I join a tournament that has already started? Yes. Entry stays open while a tournament is running, in every format.

What happens if not enough traders join? A tournament needs at least two traders. If the field is too small at the bell, nothing is rated and entry fees are returned.

Is PnL World a prop firm? No. PnL World does not fund accounts or share trading profits. It runs trading tournaments and the World Rankings. See tournament vs prop firm challenge.

Is this gambling? No. Results come from the trader's own decisions on live markets. Leverage is capped, a liquidated account finishes last, and the rating counts places across many tournaments. See is trading an esport?

How much does it cost? Nothing during open testing: entry fees and prizes use test credits, and the Free Arena is always free.

When does the World Championship start? On 1 January 2027. It runs for the whole year. See World Championship.

What is the Free Arena? Always-on practice tables — Crypto, Forex and Stocks — with a virtual bankroll, no clock and no rating. You can start over at any time.

Results

How is the winner decided? By the tournament result: the return on your starting bankroll after all fees and funding, with open positions counted as if closed now. The highest result wins.

What if two traders have the same result? The one with the smaller maximum drawdown ranks higher; if that is equal too, the earlier entry.

What happens if I am liquidated? You rank below every trader who was not liquidated. The tournament still counts as a rated finish.

What if I make no trades? You finish on 0% — above everyone who finished in a loss.

Do I have to close my positions before the end? No. At the bell, open positions are closed at market with the same fee. Your live result already includes that fee.

Can other traders see my positions? Not while the tournament is live. Standings are public; after the tournament finishes, closed trades are visible to its participants, and to everyone if you choose.

Rating and rankings

What is PWR? The PnL World Rating: points for places against real opponents, weighted by the length of the tournament and the strength of the field. Points never expire.

How do I appear on the World Rankings? Verify your phone number. One person, one rating. Your chosen name is shown; your real name is never shown unless you choose to use it.

What are divisions? Milestones on the PWR scale, from Bronze to World Class. You are placed after five rated tournaments.

Does a bigger win give more points? No. Points depend on your place, the format and the field — not on the size of your return.

Account

Can I change my name? Yes, in Settings: up to three times, no more than once every 30 days. Names are unique. Your UID — the 8-digit number on your card — never changes, and your record and rating stay with you.

Can I have more than one account? Only one verified account per person can appear on the World Rankings.
